When Accusations of Gossip Become Gag Orders, by Wartburg Watch
Slander is a lie and the person making the claim knows that it is a lie. Unfortunately, many use the word to mean saying anything negative about an individual – and then accuse others of slander in order to coverup or excuse abuse by church leaders.
Speaking truth and warning about leaders with a history of abusing others in the church or condoning such abuse – whether C.J. Mahaney and his fellow pastors at Sovereign Grace Ministries, Frank Viola and his fellow “workers” in the organic church movement, or whomever – is NOT slander or gossip. Rather, it brings needed light to darkness, protection to others & healing to the hurting.
In fact, where there are multiple witnesses against an abusive church leader, we are commanded to expose and issue publicly warnings in 1 Tim. 5:19-21.

You no doubt will now hear from Frank Viola’s designated troll, Bart Breen, who follows up on such links trying to get them removed. He has taken on the roll of defending men who are confirmed abusers by lying and attacking anyone who dares expose them. It’s sick. Stand firm, and don’t fall prey to the ongoing campaign of intimidation and coverup!

What do you think if Viola’s writings (books) and teachings? Are they helpful? Are the edifying to the church? Just curious.

Most of us don’t like to take sides. We are afraid of judging. Especially when it involves a leader’s marriage. It isolates the victims and further traumatizes the ones who most need love and acceptance in the Body.
If no one is willing to confront the abuser, for whatever reason, the victim has to stand against the ongoing spiritual terrorism and violence on her own. I nearly lost my faith during such a time, in large part because I was a silent accomplice for so long. Silence can be sin.

I’m not a Frank Viola troll, but I would like to hear opinions on what one should do / how one should handle the writings and teachings by Viola, which I find rich and edifying and helpful in my growth in the knowledge of Christ and the church. How should one handle such in light the accusations in this blog. Do such accusations disqualify the writings / teachings?
