This Sunday, I gathered without fanfare with a community of fellow believers to express Christ’s presence already in each of us – one to another.
We assembled to serve one another as Christ in us is expressed through us – each and every one.
We weren’t perfect, we weren’t flashy, we weren’t scripted, and we weren’t looking to be entertained.
Rather, we humbly let each other learn to use God’s individually diverse gifts to edify and build up one another …
To then go forth to advance His Kingdom in all spheres of life.
Others went elsewhere to be “ushered” into God’s presence – stage to pew – at a carefully choreographed “service” …
Designed to build the “church” as the gifted few motivated a gathered audience with feel good vibes.
The more I learn to “be the church” as the New Testament actually commands it, the less I want the show.
