The Church in the New Testament: Its Form, Function and Purpose

Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride! In this PowerPoint presentation, all that you think of as “church” is about to be challenged so God can woo us back to being, once more, the multi-faceted, wonderful, exciting Body of Christ.

If you want a copy of my original PowerPoint presentation, or want me to come share some of what our fellowships are learning as we continue the wonderful adventure of figuring how to faithfully adopt New Testament principles and patterns for being the church, drop me an email.

  1. Thanks, Jim. Viola is having a profound effect on me as well. Not that it is new, but in that it is what I have always believed. I have taken the opportunity to download the teaching, if that is ok with you. God bless!

  2. Jamie, our young network of churches here in Virginia would love to relationally connect with anything going on up there in Maryland of similar purpose and vision. We are figuring it out as we study Scripture, learn from others, and take a chance that the New Testament pattern and principles for being the church were actually given for our edification and guidance! We have lots to figure out, but God has been gracious and blessing. I am seeing so much maturity emerge in folks as they are given a framework for participating and ministering one to another, that it’s hard to stay quiet!
