Many would rather live a lie in peace, than live for truth.

  1. In contemplating keeping a sin secret, a former friend said, “It’s OK to lie in order to protect your children.” He believes in lying in order to keep peace. However, there is no peace when intentionally keeping a lie going in order to protect someone. Because God desires the truth, peace comes only when a lie is exposed, even though there is great pain. God is looking for a broken and contrite heart of which truth is a vital part. Thankfully, my husband and I chose to expose the sin and have been tremendously blessed as a result. And we experienced His peace that we never would have experienced had we chosen to lie.
